Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery is an innovative and interactive training program that teaches pharmacists the skills necessary to become a primary source for vaccine information and administration. The program teaches the basics of immunology and focuses on practice implementation and legal/regulatory issues.

There are three components to the certificate training program: 

  • 12 hour (1.2 CEU) self-study modules with case studies and assessment exam 
  • 8.0 hour (0.80 CEU) live seminar with final exam 
  • Hands-on assessment of intramuscular and subcutaneous injection technique 

Live Seminar

Wednesday, December 13, 2017 - Austin, TX

The live seminar will be held at the following address:

The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. and should conclude between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm depending on class size (includes breakfast and lunch).  Please arrive at the program site by 7:30 a.m. for registration sign-in and breakfast.

 

Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery was developed by the American Pharmacists Association and this offering is delivered in partnership with the Texas Pharmacy Association and supported by an educational grant from Merck.

 

After you purchase the program, please visit your “My Training” page and click on the program to begin participating in the self-study component. An email will be sent to all program participants approximately one to two weeks prior to the seminar which will provide more details about exact room location and other logistics for the day.
