Pre-conference meetings were held today in The Woodlands for the Texas Pharmacy Foundation Board of Trustees, PharmPAC Board of Directors, the TPA Board of Directors, and the House of Delegates. Outgoing TPA Board members each received a plaque thanking them for their service.

In a lively session, the House of Delegates passed three resolutions concerning (1) bylaws changes aimed at encouraging member engagement in TPA, (2) opposition to gag clauses in contracts, and (3) support of legislation that prohibits retroactive direct and indirect remuneration (DIR) fees. Several delegates spoke passionately about these clawbacks, noting that they are putting independent community pharmacies in jeopardy. The House referred a fourth resolution to TPA's Public Policy Council concerning adopting an official definition of the term "specialty drug."
