Andrew Wall

Distinguished Young Pharmacist

Recognizes a pharmacist who has graduated within the last 10 years and has demonstrated leadership excellence, made important contributions to their community and the Texas Pharmacy Association, and advanced the practice of pharmacy. Sponsored by Pharmacists Mutual.

Recognizes a third- or fourth-year pharmacy student who has demonstrated leadership excellence, made important contributions to their community and the Texas Pharmacy Association; and advanced the practice of pharmacy.

Amanda Stallings

Distinguished Service Award

Recognizes an individual who has provided outstanding service to the pharmacy profession, the health care community and the Texas Pharmacy Association. The recipient does not have to be a pharmacist nor a member of the Association.

Sylvia Perry

Recognizes a pharmacist who has demonstrated excellence in consultant pharmacy practice.

Carlos Irula

Excellence in Innovation

Carlos Irula, Pharm.D. • St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy

Recognizes a pharmacist who has demonstrated innovative pharmacy practice resulting in improved patient care and/or advancement of the profession of pharmacy. Sponsored by the National Alliance of State Pharmacy Associations and Upsher-Smith Laboratories, Inc.

University of the Incarnate Word Feik School of Pharmacy

Student Advocacy Award

The University Texas at Tyler Ben and Maytee Fisch College of Pharmacy

Established by the TPA Student Directors to highlight student achievements and contributions to pharmacy advocacy in Texas.

 

Award Criteria

The Association’s annual awards are based on nominations submitted by members and selected by a committee of the TPA Association Affairs Council. Self-nominations are not accepted. The Council has the sole discretion as to whether an award is to be presented, and the committee has the sole discretion for selection of the recipient of each award.

To qualify, nominees for TPA awards must be in good standing with the Texas Pharmacy Association and have made contributions to the profession that align with the mission of the Texas Pharmacy Association to elevate the profession and advance the practice of pharmacy to care for patients.
