PRN LogoThe Professional Recovery Network, a program of the Texas Pharmacy Association, has been spreading the word about its services across the state. On August 16, PRN Director Brittany Lash gave a presentation on the treatment of impaired professionals at the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals conference in San Antonio. She specifically addressed the need for more peer assistance programs (PAPs) like PRN to allow for more professionals with licenses to be served in an evidence-based manner. The presentation was well-received and well-attended.

On August 21, PRN presented at The University of Texas at Tyler Fisch College of Pharmacy as part of its P1 student orientation. PRN spoke to how to identify a potentially impaired professional and how pharmacy students and pharmacists can access PRN as needed should they believe that they need help due to potential impairment. If you or a colleague are in need of PRN's services, you may make a referral by calling PRN's confidential hotline at (800) 727-5152.
