TPA CEO Debbie Garza, R.Ph. and TPA Board member Jay Bueche, R.Ph.—along with AIP president/TPA member Mark Newberry, Pharm.D. and other pharmacy representatives--met this week with the Texas Medicaid Vendor Drug Program (VDP) Deputy Director Gina Marie Muniz and her staff to discuss the speciality drug list (SDL).
The meeting focused on recent additions to the SDL and the process VDP uses to establish the list. Pharmacy provided recommendations to improve the process as well as communications and to include pharmacy involvement/ feedback on establishing drug products to be placed on the SDL. We appreciate the VDP’s willingness to receive pharmacy’s input and to make improvements.
