CEO Debbie Garza spoke January 29 to the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy’s APhA-ASP student chapter about Pharmacy Day at the Capitol and the importance of advocacy, particularly in light of the current legislative session. She discussed pharmacy’s legislative priorities and tips for effective meetings with legislators and their staff.
“I enjoyed speaking to the future of our great profession,” Garza said. “There was a lot of enthusiasm and excitement for Pharmacy Day at the Capitol on February 26, which is a huge opportunity to advocate and fight for your profession, your practice, your business, and your future. Help us turn public popularity into political essentiality!”
Garza shows school spirit with student pharmacist leaders Any Jivan, Kristen Curry, and Kallie Erickson with faculty advisor and TPA Board member Dr. Nathan Pope.
