The Texas Pharmacy Association is excited to report that yesterday Senator Borris Miles (D-Houston) filed Senate Bill 835. His legislation would give pharmacists the ability to “test and treat” and furnish non-diagnostic medication under a protocol with a physician. Representative Donna Howard (D-Austin) filed a similar bill, House Bill 1827, focusing solely on the "test and treat" provision. View TPA’s issue briefs on the topics.
