After working closely with his constituent and TPA Vice President Michael Muñiz, Rep. Eddie Lucio III (D-Brownsville), chairman of the House Insurance Committee, filed filed HB 3441 on Wednesday to increase patients’ access to pharmacists’ care by requiring reimbursement for pharmacist-provided services that are within a pharmacist’s scope of practice. TPA thanks Rep. Lucio for recognizing the value Texas pharmacists bring to their communities to improve health outcomes and reduce long-term medical costs.
