Support PBM Reform in the Senate Business & Commerce Committee

On Tuesday, May 14, the Texas Senate Business and Commerce Committee is scheduled to hear a critical PBM reform bill, HB 2817, sponsored by Rep. Eddie Lucio III, which incorporates several provisions from HB 2231 by Rep. Tom Oliverson. The bill already passed the House and is the strongest commercial PBM reform bill ever to make it this far in Texas. Now, it needs Senators to encourage Chairman Hancock to hold a vote to advance this legislation from Committee despite well-funded opposition from PBMs. We need your help to support this top legislative priority for pharmacy!

Call or write your Senator and ask them to support of House Bill 2817 and to encourage a vote in the Business and Commerce Committee so that this legislation may advance. If you are a constituent of one of the Committee members listed below, a call is preferred.

To take action now:

  • Enter your address at fyi.capitol.texas.gov.
  • Click on the name of your Texas Senator to visit their official state web page.
  • On each legislator's page is their phone number and a link to e-mail them. Indicate your support of HB 2817 and encourage a vote in the Business and Commerce Committee.
