340B Contract Pharmacy Consulting

Mike began his pharmacist career after graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1983. After a brief time with an independent pharmacy, he began what turned out to be highly successful 34-year career with The Kroger Co.

Mike held positions as a staff Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager, Area Coordinator. He was the Cincinnati-Dayton region pharmacy department head for 22 years.   

Mike was promoted to the corporate headquarters in early 2010. The last 7+ years of his career, he grew the number of pharmacies involved in 340B contracts from 24 to over 1,200 and created an innovative accounting method for tracking 340B prescriptions and virtual inventory. Mike has a deep understanding of the 340B eligible entity and contract pharmacy relationship.

Mike started a 340B consulting business upon retiring from The Kroger Co. at the end of April 2017. The business is designed to assist 340B eligible entities maximize the income dollars that can be gained through the 340B program … balanced against protecting the pharmacy’s profitability, covering the expenses of the program, and tracking the inventory due.

Mike is actively involved in his local and state pharmacist associations. He is still involved at the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy as Chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board, as an Adjunct Professor in Pharmacy Marketing and Management coursework, and Mike is involved the college’s admissions process.

When pharmacy is not on his mind, he is either on his tractor, on his boat or on the golf course coaching high school girls golf.
