Erik Tosh, R.Ph.

VP Professional Services, Letco Medical

Erik has led the Letco Medical Professional Services team since it was established in December 2000.  His medical career began as a Navy Corpsman in 1978 where he specialized in public health and occupational safety.  After honorable discharge in 1984 from the Navy, he worked as a pharmacy technician at Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX while attending pharmacy school.  Duties included making sterile parenteral solutions and chemotherapy preparations.  After graduating pharmacy school from the University of Houston (1991), he worked at two different independent community pharmacies from 1992 to 2000.  Erik grew the compounding at each site and integrated nutritional support, herbal medicine, and homeopathy into the compounding practice sites. In 2000, Erik started the Professional Services department at Spectrum Pharmacy Products which was merged into Letco Medical in 2010.

Erik was a co-developer of the Herbal Pharmacy elective (1999) at University of Houston College of Pharmacy.  Currently he is an Adjunct Faculty member of the Western University College of Pharmacy where he teaches compounding. He has published articles in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding and a chapter in Remington, Science and Practice of Pharmacy 22nd Ed.  

Erik has served on the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) Board of Directors and is the 2018 Board President. He is a past President and past Treasurer of the IACP Foundation Board and current IACP Foundation Board member. He is a IACP Fellow as well as a Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries.

Erik has an Associate’s Degree in Environmental Health, BA Sociology, and BS Pharmacy.

Erik has been married 38 years and when not working to ensure patient access to compounded preparation would rather be playing golf.
