Justin Weiss, Pharm.D.
SVP, Pharmacy Operations, Superior Healthplan

Justin Weiss is an accomplished Senior Executive and Thought Leader with more than 18 years of success across the pharmaceutical and health insurance industries.  Dr. Weiss currently serves as Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Operations for Superior Health Plan, a subsidiary of Centene.   In this role, he oversees a team of 50 professionals in the management of pharmacy benefits for 1.3 million members in the State of Texas.  Superior Health Plan achieved a 4-Star NCQA rating in 2016 and remains the only Medicaid plan in Texas with this rating. 

Throughout his executive career, Justin has held leadership positions at companies including Superior Health Plan, Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (PSG), Medica Health Plan, and Beverly HealthCare. Prior to shifting careers into Managed Care, Dr. Weiss worked for several community and long-term care pharmacies.

Justin attained his PharmD degree from South Dakota State University. He holds an MBA from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from South Dakota State. He is a Registered Pharmacist (RPH) in Minnesota and Texas and was previously Board Certified in Geriatric Pharmacy.  Justin has served in numerous advisory roles in his career in the pharmaceutical industry, including partnership committees with Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC), Texas Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), and Texas Department of Family Protective Services (DFPS).   He is currently on the Audit Committee for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and recently began a term as the President of the South West Chapter of AMCP.
