Cynthia Pigg is a forward-thinking health care executive who has diverse experience across a broad array of health care organizations including commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lines of business, specializing in turnaround management and building new solutions. In her role as VP of Managed Care & Business Development for Cardinal Health, Ms. Pigg is responsible for comprehensive strategic and operational pharmacy and managed care services for Cardinal Health’s Pharmacy Services Administrative Organization, including the development and management of business relationships with Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Health Plans. Previously Ms. Pigg served as the SVP/Chief Pharmacy Officer for Gateway Health where she managed the efforts regarding financial performance, strategic planning, quality improvement and cost management. Prior to Gateway Health, she served as SVP/Chief Pharmacy Officer for Magellan Health. She has served as CEO of the Foundation for Managed Care Pharmacy and was a Vice President at CIGNA Healthcare focusing on Trade Relations, Customer Service and Medical Cost Management. Ms. Pigg holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and B.S. degrees in Pharmacy and Medical Technology, as well as numerous awards and honors from national and state pharmacy associations. She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy. |
