The majority of chronic diseases are lifestyle-related diseases that can be prevented, treated, and even potentially reversed with the use of Lifestyle Medicine. Pharmacists are frontline healthcare workers who provide direct patient care and are in an excellent position to provide lifestyle medicine counseling to patients with lifestyle-related chronic illness. The purpose of this presentation is to make pharmacists aware of the rapidly growing field of Lifestyle Medicine and introduce resources that can be used in daily practice to optimize patient care as well as one's own health and wellness.
