Plaque psoriasis is a chronic, immune-mediated inflammatory skin disease that can significantly affect patients’ quality of life. While traditional systemic and topical treatments are effective for many individuals with mild to moderate disease, patients with refractory or severe psoriasis may require advanced therapeutic options. This session will review the mechanisms of action, efficacy, safety, and place in therapy for newly approved targeted agents for plaque psoriasis. Pharmacists and technicians will gain the knowledge needed to identify candidates for targeted therapy, support monitoring and adherence, and collaborate effectively within the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
