TPA Members Visit with Sen. Hughes

Three Texas Pharmacy Association members met with their state senator October 1 to discuss issues important to their profession. TPA Board member Michelle Beall and pharmacist Chris Felton (both of Brookshire Grocery Company) and Hunter Dean (a fourth-year student pharmacist) met with State Senator Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola), who represents Senate District One in Northeast Texas.

“It was a wonderful experience to meet with Senator Hughes and to discuss all of the innovative services that pharmacy can offer," Beall said. "We talked about our accessibility and availability outside of normal office hours. Pharmacy is uniquely situated to provide affordable healthcare in the community setting.”
