Professional Recovery Network Hosts 2018 Fall Seminar

The Professional Recovery Network (PRN), a program of the Texas Pharmacy Association, held its 2018 Fall Seminar October 6 at the Sheraton Georgetown. The program featured a presentation by Dr. Bob Weathers, a highly regarded educator, recovery coach, author, public speaker, and university administrator who has provided tens of thousands of hours of therapeutic counseling and recovery coaching.

Weathers spoke on addiction, shame and acceptance related to addiction, the healing process, and the importance of Peer Assistance Programs for those with professional licensure. More than 120 PRN participants and family members attended.

PRN is a nationally recognized peer assistance program dedicated to helping health care professionals enter a safe, healthy recovery from substance use or mental illness.
