The Power of Persuasion: TPA Addresses UT College of Pharmacy

The Texas Pharmacy Association CEO Debbie Garza presented to The University of Texas College of Pharmacy P2 students this week as part of their communications class. Sharon Rush, a TPA member and UT faculty member asked Garza to speak to persuasive communications and relationship repair, noting that “in light of Debbie’s experience in advocacy and now as TPA CEO, she is ideal to provide real life examples of how to influence others and repair relationships.”Garza welcomed the invitation.

“I enjoyed talking to the student pharmacists and stressing the critical role communications plays in our profession, especially with legislators, regulatory agencies and professional organizations,” she said. “Effective communications is key for professional success.”
