Justin Hudman has spent the past 10 years working inside and outside the Texas Capitol. During his time in the Capitol, Justin oversaw the Capitol office and legislative affairs for the highly influential Chair of the House Calendars committee, Todd Hunter (R-Corpus Christi). Justin left Rep. Hunter’s office to take the top government affairs position for the Texas Pharmacy Association in 2014. During his time with TPA, Justin successfully passed legislation authorizing pharmacists to administer epinephrine and established the authority for physicians to prescribe Naloxone to a third party and for pharmacists to dispense it. Justin quickly followed the success of the Naloxone legislation to help TPA establish, the first of its kind in Texas, statewide standing order allowing pharmacists under the order to dispense Naloxone directly to their patients. Justin continues to champion enhancing the role of pharmacist in the Texas Capitol.
