Shirley Reitz, Pharm.D., serves as Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Client Services for Cambia Health Solutions, a BlueCross/BlueShield health plan encompassing four northwestern states. Dr. Reitz has strategic responsibility for developing, communicating, and reporting the outcomes of clinical initiatives impacting both cost and quality of care to our members and clients.

As part of her role at Cambia, Dr. Reitz helped the health plan implement the Washington state legislation granting pharmacists provider status.  Her previous experience as Director of Clinical Services in a large health care system, provided her with experience needed to ensure the health plan understood the value of pharmacists in providing patient care.

Dr. Reitz received her B.S. in Pharmacy and Psychology from South Dakota State University, her Pharm.D. from the University of Texas, and completed a residency in Pediatrics and Neonatology at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Reitz has over 40 years of pharmacy experience in various sites including hospital, ambulatory care, managed care, and as a tenured faculty member. She continues to serve the profession through her leadership positions on committees at both the state and national level.
