Statement

My name is Aaron Gibson, and I would be honored to have your vote for Speaker-Elect of the TPA House of Delegates. I have been practicing pharmacy for 19 years, and I have a breadth of experience in numerous pharmacy practice settings. I have owned an independent pharmacy in Andrews, Texas, for the past 11 years. I have also practiced pharmacy in a clinical setting, served in academia, and worked as a chain retail pharmacist as well. I believe this experience across the many areas of practice will allow me to understand, represent, and serve our profession well.

I consider individual involvement working on our profession—beyond just day to day practice—to be vital. It’s often said that “it’s tough to work on your business if you’re too busy working in it.” The same saying applies to all pharmacists in Texas. We need to work on our profession, not just in it, to protect and elevate pharmacy.

If elected to the Board, one of my main priorities will be to work to grow membership and involvement in TPA by showing the immense value that the Association brings to each pharmacist in Texas. Thank you for your consideration, and I’d appreciate your vote!
