Statement
My name is Christine Hong and I am slated to run to be a Director on the TPA Board. With your support during this election season, I am committed to promoting the mission and goals of TPA while furthering membership growth and all advocacy initiatives for the profession. If elected to this office, I plan to help provide a greater scope of opportunities and resources so that there is not only membership growth, but also membership retention and engagement.
Currently, I am practicing at H-E-B Pharmacy as the Pharmacist-in-Charge in Waco, Texas. Within TPA, I am serving my second term on both the Public Policy Council and the Association Affairs Council. I will also be a part of the American Pharmacists Association’s APPM National Executive Committee as the incoming New Practitioner Officer. I have also served as the APhA Immunizing Pharmacists Special Interest Group’s Advocacy Committee Co-Chair. In this role, I led the successful drafting of the need for a National Immunization Information Systems (IIS) database to report all immunization data among all state registries. This was approved by the APhA-APPM Executive Committee and passed in the House of Delegates this year.
I’m grateful for this opportunity and hope you will consider voting for me!
