Statement
Greetings! My name is Casey Nicholas, and I am running for treasurer-elect of TPA. Since 2023, I’ve served as a director on the Capital Area Pharmacy Association, supporting change in my local association. I have served on the TPA Public Policy Council
and Association Affairs Council, and participated in many Financial Affairs Council meetings.
With nearly 10 years of experience leading teams in community pharmacy, I bring a deep understanding of challenges and opportunities we face. With experience operating traditional retail pharmacies, a community-based specialty pharmacy, and now supporting
62 pharmacies, I have expertise in financial reporting, budget optimization, financial oversight and accountability to support my role as treasurer-elect.
Advocacy is at the heart of my campaign. Over the past two legislative sessions, I have worked with TPA and other pharmacy groups to champion legislation that would benefit our profession. I have met with our legislators, testified in support of important
legislation, and encouraged my peers to participate in advocacy efforts by leading an advocacy program that trained and engaged more than 100 community pharmacists.
I believe my experience, and my passion for pharmacy make me an excellent candidate to serve the Association as your next treasurer-elect. Thank you!
