Buford was a staunch supporter of the Foundation who wanted the Foundation to grow its financial base and provide additional support services to pharmacies and pharmacists in Texas.TPF John & Beverly Carson Scholarship Fund » Donate OnlineIn 2017, TPA past president John Carson and his wife Beverly died in a single-vehicle accident on the opening day of the annual TPA Conference & Expo. An innovative, generous, and legendary pharmacist, John served in pharmacy leadership positions at the local, state, and national level and was passionate about advocacy. Robert was very engaged in the profession at the state and national level. Robert was an active leader in the Texas Pharmacy Association and what was then the "Section" of Consultant Pharmacists. This scholarship was established to encourage students to pursue the ideals exhibited by Robert during his time in our profession.TPF Ladies Auxillary Scholarship Fund » Donate OnlineTPF Neal McClaugherty Scholarship » Donate OnlineLarry and Kathy McClaugherty established this scholarship for University of Houston pharmacy students in memory of their son, Neal, a nonverbal quadriplegic with cerebral palsy who participated in the summer camping program at the Children’s Association for Maximum Potential camp. Many UH student volunteers have participated in clinical rotations during their final year as part of the camp’s medical team.TPF Luther & Mary Ann Parker Scholarship Fund » Donate OnlineLuther and Mary Ann Parker were dedicated to pharmacy in Texas for more than 60 years. He served as Executive Director of the Texas Pharmacy Association, CEO and President of the Texas Pharmacy Foundation, and clinical assistant professor at The University of Texas College of Pharmacy. Luther was very active in a number of local, state, national and international professional organizations. He passed away in 2025 at age 94.
