TPA 2016 Award Winners

	Bowl of Hygeia Nathan Pope, Pharm.D. • University of Texas College of Pharmacy Recognizes a pharmacist who continually has demonstrated professional excellence and made significant public service contributions to their communities. 	Pharmacist of the Year Gay Dodson, R.Ph. • Texas State Board of Pharmacy Recognizes a pharmacist who has made outstanding contributions to the Texas Pharmacy Association and its mission.
	Distinguished Young Pharmacist Lt. Sandra Mathoslah, Pharm.D. • U.S. Public Health Service Recognizes a pharmacist who has graduated within the last 10 years and has demonstrated leadership excellence; made important contributions to their community and the Texas Pharmacy Association; and advanced the practice of pharmacy. 	Distinguished Student Pharmacist Yasmine Alhasan, Pharm.D. • Texas Tech University HSC School of Pharmacy Recognizes a fourth-year pharmacy student who has demonstrated leadership excellence; made important contributions to their community and the Texas Pharmacy Association; and advanced the practice of pharmacy.
	Distinguished Pharmacy Technician Greg Elko, RPhT • Omnicare of Fort Worth Recognizes a pharmacy technician who has demonstrated excellence and supported the advancement of the practice of pharmacy.

Award Criteria

To qualify, nominees for TPA awards must have made significant contributions to the profession which meet the criteria for the award and which align with the mission of the Association; be members of the Association in good standing; and be in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
