Texas Senate Passes Immunization Bill

The Texas Senate today passed its version of House Bill 1105 by Rep. Four Price, sponsored by Sen. Lois Kolkhorst. This important legislation would maintain pharmacies as access points for childhood vaccines by allowing pharmacy professionals to maintain the expanded vaccination authority granted by the federal PREP Act during the pandemic.

Since the Senate added other amendments related to COVID-19 to the bill already passed by the Texas House of Representatives, the House and Senate will now work to reconcile the differences.
