Join us at this year’s PharmPAC Luncheon to hear from State Representative Toni Rose (D-Dallas), who serves as vice chair of the House Human Services Committee. She also serves on the Select Committee on Health Care Reform, as well as on the Committees on Appropriations (vice chair of Article II Subcommittee), Calendars, and Redistricting. In 2023, Rose authored and fought for legislation that would have required Medicaid managed care organizations and their PBMs to reimburse pharmacies based on NADAC plus a professional dispensing fee. The bill was well received in a hearing by the Human Services Committee.

Medicaid Pharmacy Update

Level Up: Childhood Immunizations Update

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, pharmacy involvement in the administration of childhood immunizations has expanded. With the expiration of the federal PREP Act this December, administration of these critical vaccines will revert back to Texas law for ages 14 and older under physician protocol (ages 7 and older for influenza). Pharmacies will continue to be a critical resource for ALL age groups for recommendations and administration of life-saving vaccines. This update will explore the most up-to-date recommendations, laws, and best administration practices.

Use your TPA login to access your profile and evaluations. Please refer to the learning objectives of each session as you complete the evaluation. Participants must complete each session evaluation form to receive a Statement of Credit for CE sessions attended. You will be required to enter your NABP CPE ID number.  All evaluations must be completed by August 31, 2024, to receive credit. CE credit will be uploaded into your CPE Monitor profile no later than September 15, 2024. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide the correct profile number and date of birth prior to the upload.
